We’ll see how this all plays out in training camp and into the season…but one thing is for sure: The above scenario that seemed all too real each week last season has been addressed with the signing of Justin Hartwig. I definitely prefer this signing to last years disasterous signing of Mahan for the same position. It also doesn’t hurt that Mahan can now provde depth/insurance and return to a more natural position for him.

More happy Steelers news: The restriction has been lifted from 2 other linemen, Kemoeatu and Essex. These moves hopefully won’t keep us from picking the OLman that we need to draft but do provide us with much needed depth and a little breathing room should we have another quality player from another position fall into our laps at #23. All of a sudden I don’t feel the desperation that I sensed prior to today.

And for NFL.com’s video review of what we need to do in the draft is up…go check it out.

  • Just checking in to say hey. Steelers fan or not, I always enjoy your stuff. Saw the letter in the CHFF mailbag, and you’re right mostly. The 06 Steelers run was more impressive start to finish. The Giants run did involve a win in zero degrees at Green Bay and the Pats, so it’s an argument, but it started by beating a team with a worse record, so to me that dimishes it.

  • Thanks…appreciate the kind words. And I like anyone that agrees with me….even if just mostly.

Another classy steeler player right here. Personally, there should be zero tolerance for this kind of behavior.

  • pure class…thanks for pointing out our faults. I don’t excuse their behavior, but I wonder what kind of joy it brings you, a Browns fan, to hop on here and point out each offense. Reeks of desperation to bring down a team you can’t seem to catch on the field.

  • We got Jamal Lewis a former drug dealer, Ray Lewis on the Ravens should be in jail for Murder. Sure, I like antagionizing you guys, but don’t think I won’t admit that every team has its thugs. Eric Steinbach, had a DUI for Boating drunk on the River.
